San Diego,
CA-
The Farms San Diego country club
received the GM-Pro Valley Cup Trophy on November 8, 2013. The trophy was
received at the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club. Teams from various clubs like Rancho
Santa Fe, Fairbanks Ranch, and Santa Luz were defeated in the competition. The
game itself was played with the Stable ford scoring systems and included four
separate matches over the 2013 playing year. The competition was created to
mirror the Valley Cup competition that is held each year between the four
clubs. It is recognized for excellence, competition and to create camaraderie
between the clubs in the San Diego
country club region.
The Farms San Diego Golf Club
Team was victorious, and to represent the team
General Manger Bruce Bennets, and Don Sandberg, PGA were on site. It took the
entire team to manifest the victory, initially starting out 13 points behind to
start the day. Eventually this San Diego
Country Club team won by 260 points thereby surpassing the second place
winners of the Fairbanks Ranch by 7 points. The other competing San Diego
country club teams were Team Fairbanks, Santa Luz, and the Santa Fe Golf Club
General Manager.
The Farms is a private equity club
that is member run and owned. Created some time ago for golf enthusiasts, the
golfers at the Farms Country Club San Diego are
committed like no other. The club measures approximately 6,947 yards from the
very back tees and has been known as a haven for golfers on the low index and
PGA professionals. Still unrequited as one of the top 50 clubs in the nation
with the best players, the Farms country club is renowned for its dedication to
the game and the players.
